SITUATION:
Protecting America's communities and wildlife, the Sierra club responds
rapidly to issues and events that threaten our environment. As the
largest grassroots environmental organization in the United States,
the ability to broadcast immediate responses to legislation on key
issues is vital part of their mission.
APPROACH:
When actions are taken by policymakers in Washington with environmental
implications, the Sierra Club provides sound bites and press releases
to inform audiences affected by these developments. The Sierra Club
uses QRS radio production and delivery systems to speed their information
to the media markets and outlets that they target.
QRS producers digitally record multiple
versions of audio content, provides editing and audio enhancement
as necessary.
QRS uses its extensive media database, to
directly contact news producers at radio stations in any U.S. media
market. QRS producers pitch audio content personally to news producers,
and then deliver in formats according to station preference - analog,
digital, web-based, etc. QRS producers supplement audio actuality
deliver with fax and email notification and other supplemental material
as required by the client. Results of every contact are tracked and
recorded.
RESULT:
QRS provides clients with reports detailing the stations, show, and
markets where audio actualities were accepted and broadcast. QRS also
calculates the equivalent advertising dollar value to allow clients
to measure the dollar value of the audio product delivered. Clients
on average capture ad value that is three to five times the costs
incurred for all the QRS services applied from initial record to final
report.
